Title: So here it goes
Description: "the song"

Go there. It was the one song that I thought was the best. The other one I hated. However, I've been hearding alot about good comments about the music but bad about the vocal. It really drives me nuts. I had to do this in about 15 minutes with about 3 people rushing me... I don't know what to say. It wasn't worth 75 bucks. Drummer took the whole recording section and left me with nothing. I made tons of mistakes (tripping on lyrics) on the song and I couldn't even re-do it. I don't know what to think of feel. There was alot of restrictions and my guitarist cut out my vocals after the break down which was supposedly "scary". I can give alot more excuses but it's not gonna change your opinion. So all I'm pretty much doing is kinda sharing what I've done.
I really don't know what to think... maybe I really do suck or maybe I'll just taking it personally. All I wish is that I could have stepped up to my drummer and said "get your shit straight, you're taking away my time" but I was being Mr. Nice so oh well. The only thing that I've felt satisfied with the song is the outro.
I don't even know why I'm saying this...

Alright, in all seriousness, I liked your vocals. For a guy who can't spell and had 15 minutes to record, that seriously wasn't bad. I usually record the same song over and over again for an hour and it turns to shit. Anyways, good shit.

Hmm... I didn't really like it. Not my kind of music :P

Both good and bad, like a poorly landed kickflip.

Such a big metaphor haha. Tell me what's good and what's bad. I mean ya can only learn from mistakes. B)

Did you say that to make me feel better? haha. Well thanks Nitt.
But after thinking carefully.. we didn't have a single practice for over 2 months before it was recorded. And when there's no practice, I don't practice. Well laziness is one but I also work and go to school and I have SAT coming and stuffs.
Maybe the lesson that I've learnt out of this whole shit is that... well.. I should take my time and be patience, and practice my vocal ALOT.

Sorry, bro, can't call myself a fan....at least not yet. I have learned that it is better to not let anyone listen to anything than to let them listen to a recorded piece that wasn't practiced well. If this was rushed as you said and also not practiced for quite some time, then you should record it when its down better. I thought it sounded like someone threw Green Day and Nirvana into a blender and mixed it up.

 Well, my guitarist wanted to record it just to see people's reaction. So far, not so good. And I might have mentioned that he joined a new band like a month and half ago. Which means, less practice or no practice at all.
We'll, you see.. there's no way in hell that I could call this band as a "band". No one really wanted to compromise. I could, somewhat, say that Genocide was the most creative piece of song vocally for me... in this band. Others are really stupid and they're guitar based songs with drummer who always wanna do fills. My guitarist said pretty much "no" to 99% of my ideas. I didn't mind because they were somewhat his songs. But what I hated is that he totally cut off vocals parts of Genocide like the last part of the song. I know it wasn't the best but it was the only "cool part". In fact, they wanted me to remind singing the way I do for the rest of the songs...
When I look back, most of the people who tried out for the band were true. Guitarist ran the show and he doesn't want to add any spices, at all.
There were a couple of songs that I came up with... but they didn't like the idea of raw and melody. Guitarist wanted to keep things simple and somewhat in the mainstream and drummer wanna do Led Zeppelin stuffs. Oh well, atleast it's over and now I know what to prepare for next.
By the way, thanks you guys, especially Curt and Nitt... I mean none of you guys really insulted me in a bad manner. You guys kinda brought out what I've should have done in the beginning but again... I was just being too nice and let them ran over me like shit. I kinda feel ashamed for putting that song up.. but ya know whatever.
:fingers:

WELL, FREAK
I was heavily reminded of SOAD. I liked your vocals, though, especially when you started screaming. And the breakdown was also cool, too. But thats all I mostly got from it, though. Just wasn't enough to satisfy a $500 hooker. Like I said, good and bad.

Thanks.. I think...
So ya wanan beat it up right? :P
Lol.. just kidding.. or am I?
Anyways.. yeah lots of people loved the break down and my last vocals. I forced the guitarist to play it... first he thought it was shitty.
