Title: Pros vs. Cons

With the 10-2 win over the Bruins do you think that Tucker and Wellwood should take another couple of days off to heal up, or should they suit up for Saturday's tilt against Buffalo?

Here's the upcoming schedule

Sat - Home - Buffalo
Tue - Home - Carolina
Thu - Away - Buffalo
Sat - Home - Vancouver

Tough schedule! I think we should get our stars in game shape for the up coming week by playing them in games. But on the other hand I don't want to break-up the great chemistry forming within our lines or rush them back to quickly and lose them for a month.

*Another question*

What changes, if any, would you make to insert Tucker and Wellwood into the line-up? Putting one in is easy (since we only had 11 forwards last game :P ), but try getting both in

O'Neill - Sundin - Steen
Wellwood - Stajan - Tucker
Battaglia - Pohl - Deveraux
Kilger - Newbury - Belak/Ondrus

Hopefully someone will have played themselves out of a spot for when Poni is healthy or the coaching staff will have a tough call to make. But healthy competition is always good... and then we have Antro coming back as well...

O'Neill - Sundin - Steen
Poni - Wellwood - Antro
Kilger - Stajan - Tucker
Battaglia - Pohl - Deveraux

Thoughts?

I guess Newbury, Ondrus or Belak are the obvious choices. What is the prognosis for Poni? I don't really caare if Antropov makes it back or not. He started out as 2-3 weeks & its double that. He's incapable of healing quick, but sure as its Friday today, he'll find his way back to the IR before the season is done.

I only hope Antropov gets healthy enough so maybe JFJ can get a pick for him at the Trade Deadline. :)

Poni is still a solid week+ away. He is skating with Acton to keep his conditioning up but has not been cleared for contact drills. On the bright side the shoulder is healing nicely.

Your right QS a solid 3rd or 4th rounder would be a nice replacement for Nic the stick.

I guess the answer PM chose was to let his stars rest for a few more days.

Well, with two solid wins, he might as well see if he they can ride the high to a win over the Sabers... unlikely, but if the guys work hard, it could happen.

Wonder who he's going to sit? I'm guessing Ondrus will head down, with the most recent call up, Westrum.

You mean when the others come back or for this game? We only had 11 forwards last game and 7 d, so the 7th d (Bell) will sit.
